Nikki Haley said Tuesday that fear was driving Vice President Kamala Harris to avoid traveling to the U. S.-Mexico border.
Haley, who served under former President Donald Trump as U. S. Ambassador to the United Nations, joined Sandra Smith on “America Reports” to discuss the continuing crisis at the border and President Joe Biden’s strategy for handling it. Smith began with video from Harris’ interview with NBC’s Lester Holt, in which Harris appeared to laugh off the fact that she had not yet visited the border.
“Why will she not commit to a date and time to visit the southern border?” Smith asked Haley after noting that Harris was placed in charge of managing the border situation 76 days earlier.
“Sandra, this is embarrassing. I don’t know what the problem is. Clearly, she is fearful. But Kamala Harris was given one job, one job, and that was to deal with the border and any leader knows you can’t fix what you can’t see,” Hale… (Read more)
